Experience

CoolerX

Senior Software Engineer

As a team leader overseeing four engineers, I spearheaded the design, development, and maintenance of 16 mission-critical microservices. My efforts led to a $250k annual reduction in cloud costs through optimized infrastructure design. I played a pivotal role in migrating and normalizing legacy data, implementing distributed tracing, and establishing robust observability and alerting systems. As a code owner, I focused on microservices built with event-driven architectures, message queues, serverless computing, and IoT infrastructure. My contributions included leading major feature development, enhancing data pipelines, and advancing CI/CD practices. Additionally, I containerized multiple applications, standardizing development processes across the team.

Hobbies

First and foremost, I love technology. But when I am not around a computer, I like to place myself in the wilderness. I love hiking, rock climbing, high-lining, snowboarding, and especially technical rigging. I am a 2x Ironman finisher and a quick fun fact: I was a professional Routesetter for indoor climbing gyms and competitions.

I have only grown to love web development. As of now it is how I choose to spend my time. I am a huge fan of learning, so it is exciting to enjoy something that is constantly changing.
